Much better than the Linksys I had before. Get one. This one is easy and works great.
The range is excellent too. Amazon is always flawless. I can relax in the shade in the yard and surf.
I read all the reviews and a few people have issues setting up their router. You cannot beat all the features, performance and price for this router. Great service.
It was up and running in 30 minutes and is very fast. Also, Skype works great now too.
Overall, keep in mind I have had it for 2 days, it is working just fine.PS I am only using the 2.4 GHz not the 5 GHz band, so I am not sure about the conflicts that arise from there.If you need a new wireless router and have a "N" wireless network card, then this product is not bad. All my computers are hooked up (3 wirelessly) with relatively simple steps. Well, as far as 2 day use goes, it is great. My not wireless printer is hooked up and printed wirelessly (the D-Link SharePort Network USB utility).
As it is, I can only give it two stars, and a 'don't buy' advice. The DIR-628 is a fast router, easy to set up, and easy to maintain.However, as another reviewer wrote, after a while it will refuse to save any chnages you make to the router settings. D-Link support has no info on this, but there are messages all over the web detailing this problem.If DLink fixes that bug, I would recommend this router.
Wireless connection had a lot of problems. God bless, I wish I had not bought this router.
We love it. This was absolutely simple to hook up, one just has to follow the simple directions. We are now internetting over coffee in the back yard and my wife is doing recipes live from online in the kitchen.
